Globally respected sports betting brand 10bet is pushing forward with its African expansion. The company has already secured a number of important partnerships. Though it also seems just as determined to heavily invest in local sports teams. Already present in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC,) Zambia, Tanzania and Ghana, there is no telling where 10bet will be expanding next.

In the areas where the company is present, sports betting fans are feeling the benefits. Betting options are being offered through SMS, USSD and mobile. This steady focus on online betting in Africa opens up a previously unavailable level of convenience. Although already impressive as it stands, this isn’t where 10bet is stopping. A company spokesperson announced that further innovation and investment are already earmarked. Namely for football.

Investing in Local Football Teams

The spokesperson elaborated that multiple football sponsorships have been secured with 6 teams. This includes; Daring Club Motema Pembe, Enyimba, Aduana Stars, Red Arrows, Talanta FC, and Dodoma Jiji. The sponsorships have boosted team capabilities, the spokesperson added, helping football progress nationwide.

As far as focused investment is concerned, 10bet has stated that it is most interested in developing sports betting in Ghana. This is due to the internet infrastructure and mobile saturation in the area. Multiple other bookmakers have already established there, but 10bet believes it can find a good foundation. The spokesperson explained that the right partnerships have already been struck. This gives the company a competitive advantage, he continued, putting the firm in a good perfect position to shake things up.

Having already made an impact, this is the beginning of African expansion for the company. Plans are to launch in an additional 12 African countries over the next year and a half.

Years of Planning Gives Results

CEO of 10bet Africa, Arthur Perry, shared some thoughts. He explained that the expansion has been no small feat, requiring years of research and planning. He added that he is confident that African bettors will be thrilled with offered services. Perry added that many technological and localization challenges have also had to be overcome. The CEO concluded that this is just the start of a long road.

It isn’t surprising that the bookmaker has made such a splash. The organization has been active in the European market for 20 years. Given that Europeans are the only market that loves football as much as Africans, the bookmaker has already obtained expertise. Everything learned there is now being brought over to Africa.

It is a good time for major economic expansion across the entire continent.
