The online sports betting and gaming industry continues to expand at a rapid pace in Rwanda.
Customers can now rely on so much more than before. That includes an additional range of payment features when betting at Nigerian Afrobeats star Mr Eazi’s betPawa gaming franchise.
This follows a recent deal inked between the Afrobeats star and a fintech subsidiary of MTN Rwanda, namely Mobile Money Rwanda.

betPawa is now actively operating in several countries, including Nigeria, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, the DRC, Uganda, and Cameroon.
According to a media release by Mobile Money Rwanda, the partnership will endeavor to reach goals shared by betPawa and the fintech giant. They aim to have a specific focus on entertainment and innovation in betting technology.
A few months ago, Mr Eazi spoke of being greatly impressed by the many business processes now in place in Rwanda. He was also impressed that the country encouraged certain ease in conducting business.
He said businesses enjoy immense support from departments such as the Ministry of Trade, Kigali International Finance Center, and the Rwanda Development Board – to name but a few.

Mr Eazi’s venture capital fund, Zagadat Capital, last year made world news headlines when it invested in Africa-focused payments company pawaPay. This ever-growing facilitator is now present in Tanzania, Cameroon, Zambia, Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, and Uganda.
Responsible Betting is Key
Additionally, betPawa is its active involvement in responsible betting in Rwanda. It has partnered with the Imanzi Counselling and Rehabilitation Center.
